Pumpkin Carving

I thought I would share some pictures of our pumpkin carving experience. I can say that it was less dramatic this year than last!!!! However, Isaac still finds it absolutely disgusting:If you look at this closely, you will see that only his index finger has pumpkin guts on it... he actually gagged when I made him stick his hand in the pumpkin to get the remaining guts out!
To be totally honest, Irelynn wasn't too thrilled with the idea of touching pumpkin guts, either.
Rob, on the other hand, didn't have any problems at all digging right in!Super smiley pants!
Gotta love the self-timer... can you believe that everyone was looking at the camera?!
As always, he was happy it was over!
Our little pumpkin was sad that it got eaten by the big pumpkin :o)
Isaac's pumpkin turned out to be a perfect reflection of himself - super silly!

New Layout

I just created this new layout - it was a lot of fun and quite simple to do. I am wishing that I had all of the Adobe products so it could be even cooler... maybe someday ;o)

Dinner and Stories with Joe

We had Joe over for dinner last night and had such a great time!!! Isaac enjoyed playing games with him before dinner and then when it was time for bed he read both kids stories!! Although Irelynn wouldn't let Joe touch her or hardly talk to her, she thoroughly enjoyed story-time! Thanks for the great times Joe - you're awesome!

Another Beautiful Fall Day

We took a trip to Howard Christensen Nature Center today - it was beautiful and you should see all of the leaves we collected! Unfortunately, we didn't see much wildlife... a few birds and a couple of chipmunks! I was able to capture a few great pictures before the batteries died...

Fall Leaves Fall! We actually got a book from the library called: Fall Leaves Fall! It was our inspiration during our mile-long hike!

Miss Irelynn was nice and comfy in her Kelty Backpack

Isaac got his hair cut today by Scary Sherry, whose real name is Karrie...
This is how his hair makes him feel!

Pictures like this are priceless!

Rob wants to send this one to Kelty so he can get paid for advertising!

We attached the tripod to the tree, but it was up too high for me to see... okay everybody... smile, but don't blink!
Another Isaac photo
We tired her out!

Who doesn't love fall?

Once again, we got together with our wonderful friends to search for the perfect pumpkin! Last year we went to Klackle's, but decided to try out Schwallier's Country Basket this year. It saved us a TON of money! It's amazing how much the kids have changed over the year. We did get a picture of all of us together, but if this is going to continue, we will have to start getting a picture of just the kids. As they get older, it will be easier... right now it is just go, go, go! We had beautiful weather, and in fact, all found the perfect pumpkins!

Isaac & Layla (we agreed that Layla Gulliver has a nice ring to it)! A little note of interest: Layla doesn't like very many people besides her parents, but she looooves Isaac!

Isaac's pose with the sun in his eyes

Oh yeah, we found some great apples, too!

Are you lookin' at me?

Good times!

There's that bright sun again!

Little Damian who isn't so little anymore! Look at those cheeks :o)

Come on ride the (cow) train!

Grandma Lewis

We got the call last night that Grandma Lewis passed away. After 10 years of being away from the man that she was married to for 65+ years and raised 7 children with, I hope that they have found each other! Here are some of my favorite memories:
  • She used to put Finger Curls in my hair
  • We played Rack-O, Crazy Eights, Kings on The Corner, Tri-Ominoes every time we went to visit
  • Crackers and Cheese was a main staple
  • She always had Homemade Soup in containers in the freezer
  • Picking acorns in gallon sized Country Fresh Ice Cream Buckets to bring home for the squirrels in Grand Rapids
  • For dessert I would eat Vanilla ice cream with Magic Shell Chocolate topping
  • Because the bugs were so bad up there, when we went outside, we sat in The screen-house
  • When I would sleep over, she would lay in bed with me and we would listen to the Whippoorwills
  • She was always working on a Plastic Canvas project and taught me how when I was 7
  • She always made Crocheted Towels for everyone
  • She taught me how to Crochet when I was 18
  • When we left her house, we always had to Honk and Wave
  • She always had cold sores so we had to kiss her on the cheek!
  • No matter how naughty we were, she always loved us!

Pumpkin Time

Oh I do declare... there's a bow in my hair!

On Sunday we went with the Gulliver/Meermans to Robinette's - we went on a hayride and got lots of pics of the babes in their costumes!!! Andrew is walking along furniture already & Ava just started crawling! It won't be long before they're walking together and pushing each other over! We can all barely fit around the dining room table... that means no room for more babies!!!!!!

Watch out world, here I come!

This is so my life
